ABOUT US
Centre Mission Statement
The Centre’s mission is to provide quality personalised care and an educational service to children and families of TAFE students, staff and the wider community supporting their social and educational needs.
Centre Philosophy
The Centre’s philosophy is based on the following principles:
- Providing quality personalised care where each child’s needs are respected and recognise that each child is as a unique individual with their own needs, qualities, interests and abilities.
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment, which provides a link between home and the Centre, allowing the parents and the child to feel happy and secure.
- Fostering children’s development that builds their knowledge, skills, self-concept, independence and social abilities through a choice of child-centred learning experiences.
- Recognising and valuing the diversity of the children and their families and respect their differences.
- Working closely with the children’s families and the wider community in the best interest of the children.
- Ensuring, above all, that a child’s time at the Centre is a fun, educational, active, loving and enjoyable experience. An experience they will cherish.
Planning
The Group Leader and Assistant in each room work together by observing the children and planning both individual and group learning experiences that cater for the needs of the children.
You are welcome to discuss with the Group Leader your child’s developmental progress. We value the information that you provide us about your child. We aim to communicate and work in partnership with all parents, as we believe that this partnership enhances the child’s education and personal self concept.
